Through the provision of innovative training and networking opportunities, CIFAL Istanbul contributes to build capacities of local government officials and leaders to plan and design cities in a sustainable way, improve the provision of public services and infrastructure, and prepare cities to be safe and resilient.
Our center is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of local governments, urban planners, and policymakers in Istanbul and beyond. Through a diverse array of training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives, CIFAL Istanbul equips urban stakeholders with the tools and expertise needed to address complex urban challenges effectively. The center foster collaboration among cities, promote sustainable urban development, and assist in the integration of global best practices and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into local governance and planning strategies.
